This manual has been compiled and updated yearly in order to assist in providing up-to-date and technically accurate information for those esthetic professionals who wish to give their clients the most efficacious treatments and advice available in this fast-paced and technically-advanced industry. It is also intended for those in clinical esthetic settings as a companion manual to A Complete Guide to Microdermabrasion, Treatment, Technique and Technology. A number of sources were used to compile the following chapters, and the pre- and post-treatment protocols were developed taking into consideration the years of experience and knowledge that these sources have accumulated. Obviously, these protocols may require modification based upon the needs of the individual client, the training of the individual esthetic professional, climatic geographic region and rules and regulations set forth by the professional?s regulatory authority.
